This October 7th Anti- is excited to release a brand new EP by Grammy winning Saharan band TINARIWEN. The record is entitled Inside / Outside: Joshua Tree Acoustic Sessions and features five beautifully hypnotic acoustic songs. The track "Iljaych Tareq" premieres today via Aquarium Drunkard
The tracks were recorded in the Joshua Tree desert, CA, while the band were working on their latest album Emmaar. At night the band would jam live in the house where the studio was settled and outside around a campfire.This intimate feeling, like you are singing for your friends or your family is what these songs have captured.

TINARIWEN’s uniquely moving and transcendental sound was recently described by The New Yorker magazine, who wrote, “Their music swells to something almost as cathartic as loud rock music while being entirely unlike it.”

TINARIWEN will be embarking on a series of North American tour dates culminating on November 10th at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple in New York City for an event called Anti-thesis. Curated by Daniel Lanois, the night will feature Tinariwen along with Lanois, The Antlers and special guest Lonnie Holley. Anti-thesis is a celebration of music from vastly different origins which exists outside of traditional genres, structures and rules.
