“I wrote this song while walking through a park in London almost 6 years ago, “ Rowe explains. “My son was back home in upstate NY, still in the womb at the time. Although I've attempted to put this song on my past records, it seems to have always wanted a space for itself. I suppose the subject matter of the song is emotionally charged and represents a sentiment that other people can relate to. There's a desperation to the times that we're living in and I was trying to reflect that in the song through my own experience of raising a family and trying to navigate the right moves.”
“As far as being in films...I'm a huge movie fan,” Rowe continues. “And there's something magical about songs when they attach to cinematic stories. Many times I write with the feeling that a movie scene is playing in my mind so the writing already has a kind of built-in movie set for me. But it's also fun to see what other people do with the song from a directors point of view. It takes on a new life.”
