Sean Rowe Featured On WNYC's Soundcheck
Anti- Records artist Sean Rowe made an appearance earlier today on the popular New York public radio show "Soundcheck." Rowe and his band performed live in the WNYC studios, playing two songs off Rowe's stunning soon to be released Anti- debut album Magic due out on 2-22-11. The upstate New York native displays his deep and incredibly soulful voice on the mournful ballad "Wet' and the atmospheric gospel tinged song "Old Black Dodge." Rowe also talks with the show's host John Schaefer about his musical influences (Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen among others), the darkness of his sound and the beginning of his song writing career at the age of seven.
