Neko Case Sings Back-up for M. Ward on ‘Late Night With Conan O’Brien’

Summer Tour Plans Taking Shape For Force Behind Fox Confessor Brings the Flood
Neko Case – the singer/songwriter behind the acclaimed 2006 Anti- release Fox Confessor Brings the Flood – will accompany her friend M. Ward for his appearance tonight (Thursday, May 17th) on NBC-TV’s “Late Night With Conan O’Brien.” Case, who sings on Ward’s recent version of Daniel Johnston’s “To Go Home,” will perform alongside the likes of singer Kelly Hogan and My Morning Jacket’s Jim James.
Late Spring and Summer of 2007 will be an active season for Neko, whose fourth studio album ended up on many "Best of 2006" lists, is also scheduled to perform at the Sasquatch Festival at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington on May 26th in the company of Arcade Fire, The Hold Steady and Bjork.
Neko Case will also appear at Marty Stuart's 6th Annual Late Night Jam benefit for Music Cares at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on June 6th in the esteemed company of Charley Pride, Pam Tillis, Porter Wagoner and others.
Neko will also support Rufus Wainwright this August on select dates of his 24-city North American Tour. Beginning with his Kansas City, MO date at the Voodoo Lounge on August 9th, Case will join the trek for appearances at the Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas (8/10), Stubb’s Bar-B-Q in Austin (8/11), The Tabernacle in Atlanta (8/13), The Ryman in Nashville (8/14), The Pavillion in Charlottesville, VA (8/15) and at The Mann Music Center in Philadelphia (8/17). The artist has also been confirmed for Boston’s Download Festival, at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, MA on August 18.
In related news, Case will again appear on The New Pornographers fourth studio album, Challengers, expected on August 21st. In addition to lending her musical talents, Case also prepared the artwork for the upcoming disc.
