IFC Premieres Song From New Yann Tiersen Album 'Dust Lane'
IFC is currently premiering an epic new pop song called "Fuck Me" from composer, musician Yann Tierson's upcoming new album Dust Lane. Tiersen is an immensely talented and undeniably unique artist whose albums merge experimental aspects of classical with flourishes of folk and the bristling energy of post punk. His celebrated soundtrack to the indie film Amelie and inspiring live shows have continued to attract an enthusiastic fan base.
The bulk of Dust Lane was recorded on the small island of Ouessant off the coast of West Britanny with a reported population of 859 and the most powerful light house in Europe. The song 'Fuck Me' features Breton singer Gaelle Kerrien singing a duet with Tiersen, accompanied by an assortment of instrumentation including lilting guitars and banjos building with mellotron into steady drum beat that drives the song into symphonic pop bliss.
Tiersen's first ever US release Dust Lane was mixed by Ken Thomas (Sigur Ros) and will be released by Anti Records on October 12, 2010.
