Alec Ounsworth Solo Album 'Mo Beauty' Out 10/20
Alec Ounsworth, charismatic frontman for celebrated indie rockers Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, will be releasing his much anticipated solo album Mo Beauty on October 20 care of Anti-Records. Recorded deep in the heart of musical New Orleans with an ensemble of local heavyweights including George Porter Jr. of the Meters and drummer Stanton Moore of Galactic, and guided by veteran producer Steve Berlin (Los Lobos, Replacements), "Mo Beauty" is a stunning union of powerful rhythms and imaginative arrangements in the service of evocative literary songwriting.
Ounsworth will be debuting songs from Mo Beauty live as part of New York's annual CMJ Festival with a performance at the Mercury Lounge on October 22nd.
