Islands will play songs from Vapours and other favorites in person across North America when they open for the Pscyhedelic Furs starting September 28th.
Early Critical Praise in for Vapours:
"Jams that are catchy enough to turn into sing-alongs by their second chorus, even on a first listen." - Spin
"their new album Vapours is definitely going to be on my top ten for the year." - Dan Harris, ABC News
"Vapours" is Islands at their most nostalgically pop-centric, a '60s flashback with Nick focused on proper ventilation while some triumphant Stax Records-redolent horns exhale all around him. "It's the bassline in your mind," but it's the brass lines that make it a good look." - Stereogum
"Islands are exceptionally good at what they do, and what they do is write remarkably unconventional yet immediately endearing pop tunes." - Sputnick Music
"An homage to indie pop with lovelorn lyrics, echoing refrains and melodic hooks." - Filter
"I'd recommend checking it out, as the band tries to recapture some of the magic from Return to the Sea." - Aninmalnoisemusic.blog
"The title track from Vapours is a bouncy and uplifting ditty featuring a funked-out bass riff and brass section." Everybodytaste.com
